When I Was in High School...

This is what it looked like.

Rachel and Rebecca are best friends, they have been so for 8 years. They agree upon a myriad of topics consisting of, but not limited to the following:

If they could have come of age in any decade, they agree it would have been either the 60s or the 80s. If they could marry anyone it would come down to either: John Krasinski, Michael Cera, Charlie Day, Michael J. Fox, Andrew McCarthy, or Andrew Garfield (perhaps a group marriage if all parties were willing). Every winter they choose one day in which to watch each installment in JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings Trilogy (the extended editions!!) as interpreted by Peter Jackson.  In fact a marathon of 4+ movies is not uncommon (Pretty in Pink, Back to the Future, Bye Bye Birdie, and Empire Records perhaps).

They can most often be found in all black clothing, however they do appreciate a well placed accent of color here and there. They often watch programs on the History and Discovery Channels, since they love learning about the world in which we live. They appreciate deadpan humor and witticisms are always welcome (intellect is key). Of all things in the world, the following are most important: having adventures, music (The Beatles reign supreme), traveling, nature, embracing whimsy, dancing, and turkey chili.

Appreciating the little things and staying young at heart are their main objectives in life.  And to that they say “That’ll be fine”.
